It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the 21st Century Charter Cougars had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 72-42 on the road. 21st Century Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 24 points or more this season. 21st Century Charter's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Terrence Hayes, who scored 23 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Lemetrius Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. The win was the 12th in a row for 21st Century Charter, bringing their record for this year to 19-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Lighthouse College Prep Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. 21st Century Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Whiting at 5:30 p.m. on March 1st. 21st Century Charter is facing Whiting at the right time seeing as Whiting is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
